Romania to send new ambassador to Azerbaijan

The Foreign Ministry of Romania has revealed names of candidates of ambassador to 26 countries, including Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that the diplomat which has been nominated as an ambassador to Azerbaijan is Vasile Soare. Previously, he had various positions at the Romanian MFA and was ambassador to Russia between 2014 and 2020.

The list of candidates has been submitted to parliament for consideration.

Note, the term of Romanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dan Iancu has expired.
