Humanitarian aid was provided to more than 30 countries - President

Azerbaijan cooperates very effectively with the World Health Organization. Last year, the World Health Organization called Azerbaijan an exemplary country in the fight against pandemics.

Axar.az reports that he statement came from President Ilham Aliyev in his video speech at the 74th session of the World Health Assembly.

"Azerbaijan has always promoted the importance of demonstrating strong global solidarity to cope with the pandemic. As chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement, Azerbaijan has launched a number of global initiatives. Among them are the Non-Aligned Movement Summit in May 2020 and the Special Session of the UN General Assembly at the level of Heads of State and Government in December 2020 with the support of more than 150 states.

Azerbaijan has made a voluntary financial contribution of $ 10 million to the World Health Organization. At the same time, humanitarian and financial assistance has been provided to more than 30 countries in connection with the coronavirus," the President said.
