Russia has reacted to the tragedy in Kalbajar

Russia was one of the first to react to the tragedy in the Kalbajar region.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova during a weekly briefing.

"The Russian Embassy in Baku has expressed its condolences to the relatives of the journalists killed in the mine explosion. We are in constant contact with Baku and Yerevan. We call on the parties to resolve the issue of demining, including the submission of maps of mined areas. We hope that this work will be accelerated. We support the settlement of all humanitarian issues in full compliance with the joint statements of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia on November 10 and January 11," the Russian official said.
