Baku is ready to work with Yerevan for a peace agreement - FM

We must focus on reality. The reality is that for the first time since independence, there is a unique opportunity to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Why do I say it for the first time? Because there is no fact of occupation in the middle.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in an interview with TRT World.

The Minister reminded that in accordance with four UN resolutions, Azerbaijan has restored its territorial integrity.

"There are about 30 years of hostility, occupation, losses and the consequences of the war. But we believe that we must look to the future. You know, it's not easy for us, because the memory, everything that happens is new. However, the President of Azerbaijan stressed the need to normalize relations. Azerbaijan is ready to work with Armenia for a peace agreement. We offer it. We expect political will and real steps from Armenia at this level as well,” he said.
