The United States is concerned about the recent events on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Facebook page of the US Embassy in Armenia.

"We call on both sides to reduce tensions as soon as possible, resolve the issue peacefully and create a favorable atmosphere for the resumption of substantive talks," the statement said.

It should be noted that on July 19, at 17:00, 20:50 and 23:40, Armenian armed forces fired at the positions of the Azerbaijani Army located in the direction of Sadarak region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic from different positions.

As a result, a serviceman of the Azerbaijani Army, senior lieutenant Badalli Ramal Bahlul oglu was wounded in the leg. The wounded man received first aid and was evacuated to a medical facility. The opposite side was silenced by retaliatory fire.
