I would like to thank you for your help in the fight against coronavirus. We have already received more than 200,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine from Russia, and the next delivery is expected. I know that many people apply because this vaccine has proven its effectiveness.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

"It's very difficult to vaccinate everyone. But as a friend and partner, I would like to thank you again that we were among the first to receive the vaccine," said Ilham Aliyev.
