Joint Turkish Army may be established

A number of talks are underway to establish a joint Turkish army.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Shentop at a press conference today in response to a journalist's question on whether a joint Turkish army will be formed.

He said that joint military exercises between the two countries are being held within the framework of the agreements:

"Despite all this, our main goal is one nation and two states. It will always be so. Many talks and agreements have been held around this."
