Italian expert: We analyzed the Azerbaijani Army, we knew

Personally, I was convinced that Azerbaijan would win easily and unconditionally.

Andrea Marchiliano, a senior fellow at the Italian Center for Geopolitical Analysis and International Studies Il Nodo di Gordio, told Axar.az on the anniversary of the start of the 44-day war.

According to him, the tension between Azerbaijan and Armenia has already reached its peak, the war has become a reality:

"There has been a low-intensity war that has been frozen for years," he said. "Personally, I was convinced that Azerbaijan would win easily and unconditionally. Our analysis clearly showed the technical superiority of the Azerbaijani Air Force. In addition, Armenia could no longer receive support from Moscow. Putin was not interested in direct involvement in the events in Nagorno-Karabakh. At the same time, the political support that official Ankara will give to Baku was clear".
