Erdogan talked about the new agreement with Azerbaijan

Each of the agreements reached with Azerbaijan on gas supplies has a reserve purpose.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan while commenting on the new gas agreement signed with Azerbaijan.

He said that such agreements are steps taken to avoid an energy crisis:

"We see our reserves. All agreements reached with Azerbaijan are reserves. Our agreements with Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan are a sign that we will not experience such crises. Problems continue in the West. These problems are not on the agenda for Turkey."

Turkey and Azerbaijan have signed an agreement to supply an additional 11 billion cubic meters of natural gas by the end of 2024.
