The Bosphorus Summit will be held in Istanbul in December. First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva was also invited as an honorary guest to the event.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) - Chief of Staff Tahir Budagov, speaking at a conference on "The role of civil society in promoting gender equality and women's rights" at the party's headquarters.

The deputy chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party said that he was also invited to participate in the event:

"At the same time, Mehriban Aliyeva will address the opening session of the Bosphorus Summit."
