Jeyhun Bayramov spoke with his Iranian counterpart

On October 23, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hussein Amir Abdullahian.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Foreign Ministry's press service.

The ministers exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations.

Evaluating the development over the past week, the ministers noted the warning issued by the relevant Iranian authorities regarding the respect for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, as well as the release of two Iranian drivers by Azerbaijan as a mutually positive step.

During the telephone conversation, the importance of continuing the activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, renewed by the new administration of Iran, was stressed.

The parties stressed the importance of resolving all differences of opinion through dialogue.

The ministers also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
