Consultations between the leaders of the factions of the State Duma on the recognition of the so-called "Donetsk" and "Luhansk People's Republics" will be held next week.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.

"In this regard, it would be appropriate to hold consultations with faction leaders next week and discuss this initiative. Then, based on the results, the issue will be considered by the State Duma Council, " Volodin said.

A few days ago, deputies from the Communist Party of the State Duma appealed to President Vladimir Putin to consider the recognition of the so-called "Donetsk" and "Luhansk People's Republics."
