Kamran Aliyev met with an EU official

On February 1, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev met with Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office told APA.

Axar.az reports that according to the information, the Prosecutor General talked about large-scale legal reforms carried out in the country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev and informed about the fight against corruption, the defence of public prosecution, the restoration of criminally obtained property, and the activities of the prosecutor's office outside criminal prosecution.

Kamran Aliyev noted that numerous events were held on topical legal issues within the European Commission's Twinning and TAIEX instruments. The joint activity of the Azerbaijani Prosecutor's Office with Lithuanian law enforcement agencies on the recovery of criminal assets within the Twinning project, which will start this year, was assessed as a clear appearance of our cooperation.
