President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has congratulated President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

Dear Mr. President,

I sincerely congratulate you on the significant date between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine - the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and I am pleased to convey my best wishes to the friendly people of Ukraine.

Although our diplomatic relations have a history of thirty years, our peoples have a centuries-old tradition of friendship and cooperation. It is especially gratifying that the current level and day-to-day expansion of our relations, built on these solid foundations.

It is gratifying that over the years, our interstate relations based on mutual trust, confidence and support have further developed to the level of strategic partnership, and the scope of our cooperation in political, economic, energy and humanitarian spheres has expanded. The high-level political dialogue we have today, the numerous reciprocal visits, the documents signed, the joint projects implemented, as well as the successful work of the Intergovernmental Commission play an important role in defining new areas of cooperation.

I am confident that with our joint efforts we will be able to further strengthen and expand Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations.
