Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov and other senior officials of the ministry met with servicemen in the Lachin region.

Axar.az reports that the Minister spoke about the work done and reforms implemented in the field of army building under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.

Hasanov reiterated that the heroism and selflessness shown in the April 2016 battles, the 2018 Gunnut Victory, the 2020 Tovuz battles and the 44-day Patriotic War were highly appreciated by the head of state. He stressed that the supply of the Azerbaijani Army with the latest weapons, military equipment and equipment will continue as planned.

Touching upon the activities of forces seeking to damage the reputation of the Azerbaijani Army in the field of information after the victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Defense Minister stressed the importance of being careful against slanderous and provocative information and protecting military and service secrets.
