The Russian Foreign Ministry shared distorted information

On the day of the signing of the Declaration on Allied Interaction between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation, it is surprising and unfortunate that the Russian Foreign Ministry's official social network account shared distorted information about the 1828 Turkmenchay Treaty.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on the distorted sharing of the Turkmenchay Agreement on the social network account of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"We would like to emphasize that the agreement does not refer to the word" Eastern Armenia "at all, and, of course, this fact should be well known to the Department of Historical Documents of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

We consider it important to eliminate this distortion and expect that the false information on the official social network page of the Russian Foreign Ministry will be corrected, " the statement said.
