The only reason people were killed in Khojaly was because they were Azerbaijanis. This is a clear example of the racist policy pursued by Armenia.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at a conference on the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.

He noted that the comprehensive investigation of the Khojaly genocide by the Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies proved that it was a genocide:

"To date, the national legislatures of 17 states and 23 states of the United States have strongly condemned the genocide and adopted relevant decisions and resolutions. "Unfortunately, despite all this, the perpetrators of this crime have not yet been brought to justice."
