Bayramov: Military conflicts will have terrible scenarios

The globalization trend after the Cold War reshaped, expanded, and diversified the concept of threat along with positive processes.

Axar.az reports that Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, during his speech at the 13th Ambassadors' Conference in Ankara.

He noted that the term threat is not limited to interstate conflicts, does not recognize international borders, but also includes transnational and international threats.

“It is clear to everyone that no state is able to fight traditional new types of threats alone. It is no coincidence that many conflicts and injustices would have been prevented today if all countries treated the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, independence, non-interference in each other's internal affairs and other principles with the same responsibility," he said.

According to the minister, both climate change and military conflicts and their economic consequences confront humanity with dire scenarios such as food shortages: "Today's events around Ukraine cause serious concern and once again remind all actors of the international system that any country in the world what happens there affects each of us."
