TDT released a statement about the attack on our embassy

We strongly condemn the armed attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran.

Axar.az reports that Kubanichbek Omuraliyev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (TDT), said this.

"We offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and wish the injured a speedy recovery," he said.

The secretary general of TDT called on the Iranian authorities to thoroughly investigate the attack and bring the perpetrators to justice.

It should be recalled that on January 27, 2023, at around 8:30 am Baku time, there was an armed attack on the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The assailant destroyed the security post with a Kalashnikov automatic weapon and killed the head of the security service. Two security guards of the embassy were also injured while preventing the attack. Their condition is satisfactory.
