Normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan is a priority.

Axar.az reports that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this at a press conference dedicated to last year's results.

"Russia, which has a direct border with the South Caucasus, is interested in the stability and progress of this region, in the identification and efficient use of the region's transport logistics, trade-investment, and technological opportunities. Our diplomacy efforts are aimed at this," said the head of MFA.

At the same time, Lavrov stressed that Russia is intensively working to prevent the potential for the growing conflict in the region.
