President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev called the President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan on February 6.

Axar.az reports that the President's Press Service has released information about this.

The head of state said that the news about numerous casualties and destruction caused by the earthquake in Turkiye shocked and saddened Azerbaijan.

President Ilham Aliyev personally expressed his condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, their families, and the brotherly people of Turkiye on behalf of the people who died during the earthquake, and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
