After the catastrophic earthquake in Turkiye, many thought that this would be Erdogan's last election. But it was the opposite of what was expected. He is set to win again.

Axar.az informs that this was reported in an article published by CNN.

Elbey Hasanli, a journalist living in Europe who shared excerpts from the article, noted that Soner Cagaptay, an expert at the Institute for Near East Policy, who made a statement to CNN, said: "Erdogan loves Istanbul because this city symbolizes the power of the Ottoman Empire and the greatness of Erdogan. Erdogan wants to make Turkiye great again. Erdogan wishes to restore the Ottoman magnificence that existed in Turkiye.

CNN reports that Erdogan appears poised to survive Turkiye's political and tectonic shifts.

"It's not about whether Erdogan won the election on Sunday, but by what margin he won," Cagaptay told CNN.
