Pashinyan's first statement about the five-way meeting

Armenia and Azerbaijan do not object to using the 1975 map as a basis for the next delimitation.

Axar.az reports that the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, said these words during a meeting with the Armenian community of Moldova.

He called it the next step towards the recognition of Armenia's territory of 29.8 thousand hv.km.

"We are ready to open regional communications regarding the implementation of paragraph 9 of the statement dated November 9, 2020 under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of the parties," Pashinyan said.

He called the informal five-way meeting useful.

Pashinyan said that the issue of mutual recognition of territorial integrity was discussed based on the recognition of the administrative borders of the USSR as state borders based on the Almaty Declaration.

The Prime Minister of Armenia once again stated that the issue of security and rights of Karabakh Armenians should be discussed in the framework of international mechanisms in the format of "Baku-Khankendi dialogue".

It should be noted that Azerbaijan has not yet expressed any position on which map will be used as a basis in the delimitation process.
