With the recent victory, new opportunities for normalization in the region have been opened.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a joint statement to the press with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev on September 25.

According to him, Azerbaijan was forced to carry out anti-terrorist measures on its territory.

The President of Turkiye said that the completion of the anti-terrorist measure in a short period of time was a source of pride for Turkiye.

"I wish mercy to the martyrs and healing to the wounded. I heartily congratulate the victorious Azerbaijan Army. With the recent victory, new opportunities for normalization in the region have been opened. I hope this opportunity will be appreciated. I hope that Armenia will hold Azerbaijan's hand of peace and take sincere steps. As we always say, there is no alternative to peace. We expect Armenia to take appropriate steps to establish peace in the region."
