Statement from the CSTO regarding the South Caucasus

The Security Council of the CSTO does not accept dangerous incidents near the borders of member states of the organization and provocative actions that could lead to an increase in military-political tension.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the statement of the CSTO Council.

"Also, we express our deep concern about the placement of foreign terrorists in armed conflict zones," the statement said.

The document states that there can be no winners in a nuclear war and that this topic should never be broached:

"In this regard, we call for active efforts to prevent a military confrontation between the nuclear powers."

At the same time, the statement expresses support for efforts to achieve peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
