Work is being continued in the direction of bringing the perpetrators of the Khojaly genocide to criminal responsibility.

Axar.az reports that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, said this in his statement to journalists.

The minister said that for many years, the Azerbaijani state has taken consistent, systematic measures under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev to bring the perpetrators of the Khojaly genocide to justice and restore historical justice.

"As a result of all these steps, this year we are celebrating the anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy in a different environment. It is the first time that sovereignty has been restored throughout the country, and our tricolour flag is flying in Khojaly. The impunity of the criminals has in a certain sense created an atmosphere of impunity among those people in Armenia. Therefore "The state of Azerbaijan continues work in this direction and will continue in the future. Some of the criminals of Khojaly have already been brought to criminal responsibility and forced to answer before the court."
