Russia calls on Armenia and Azerbaijan to resume the work of tripartite dialogue mechanisms.

Axar.az reports that Maria Zakharova, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, said this.

"We believe that it is high time to restore the rhythmic work of Russia-Azerbaijan-Armenia tripartite mechanisms. We call on our partners to demonstrate political will, to restore contact with Russia's help on the most difficult issues, including the delimitation of borders, and the opening of transport and logistics blockades in the region, within the framework of formats that have proven their effectiveness," Zakharova said.

According to him, all territorial disputes and claims between Baku and Yerevan should be resolved exclusively by political and diplomatic methods within the framework of the bilateral commission on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border:

"We are also ready to provide all kinds of assistance in this regard. Unlike the European Union and the United States, which make concessions to one side and threaten the other, we have always been in favour of a comprehensive, compromise solution to existing differences in the interest of establishing lasting peace and prosperity in the Caucasus. Our offer remains on the negotiation table."
