We highly appreciate the respect of the Russian leadership, government and public to the dear memory of Heydar Aliyev.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev expressed this opinion in a one-on-one meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on April 22.

"The Baikal-Amur highway was an all-Union scale project. I would like to note that you highly appreciate the work of Heydar Aliyev in the implementation of this project. We will also meet people who have worked on this global project. Events with dear memories bring our countries closer and contribute to the upward development of our relations," the head of state said.
