Moscow welcomes the talks held in Almaty between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that Maria Zakharova, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, said this.

"We welcome the peace treaty negotiations between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan on May 10-11. This is another step towards achieving sustainable peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus. We support Kazakhstan's efforts in this direction. If necessary, we are ready to provide all kinds of help to our partners," Zakharova said.

The MFA official considered it important that the contacts in Almaty between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan should be in accordance with the set of tripartite agreements defining the road map of the process of normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
