Azerbaijan, located at the junction of different civilizations, has never experienced discrimination and conflict on the basis of ethnicity and religion, and has historically had progressive national-cultural and religious relations based on mutual trust and respect.
Axar.az reports that these ideas were included in the address of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the Global Dialogue Forum on the theme "Transformative dialogue: building alliances for the sake of peace in a rapidly changing world".
The President noted that tolerance and multicultural values are norms of democratic coexistence of Azerbaijani society. Prestigious events such as the traditional World Intercultural Dialogue Forum, International Humanitarian Forum, Summit of World Religious Leaders held in Baku play an important role in the development of intercultural relations. We believe that ethnic-cultural diversity is not a dividing line, but rather a unique asset that serves harmonious development among nations.
