On June 11, 2024, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Annalena Baerbock, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, as part of his business trip to Germany.

At the meeting, the ministers noted that they attach great importance to Azerbaijan-Germany relations and are interested in further expansion of cooperation.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that there are additional opportunities for cooperation with the German side within the framework of Azerbaijan's hosting of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) this year. In this context, the importance of the joint successful organization of the Petersburg Dialogue, as well as the currently held Bonn Conference, was noted.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov talked about the current situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period, the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and drew attention to the existing problems and opportunities within the framework of the peace process. In this context, it was mentioned that the ongoing claim to the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the Constitution of Armenia is an obstacle to the signing of the peace agreement.

Other regional issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
