Karabakh is a part of Azerbaijan, and the concept of self-determination and status of Karabakh was misunderstood in Armenian society.

Axar.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this in the parliament.

"Karabakh is a part of Azerbaijan, but all this was misunderstood in the Armenian reality, because the Armenian community has not had access to the Lisbon document since 1996," he stressed.

According to him, the clerical-feudal elite of Armenia deceived and confused the Armenian people regarding Karabakh in order to seize and maintain power:

"This is the whole truth about Karabakh."
