Armenia is ready to continue the border demarcation process with Azerbaijan and sign a peace treaty in a short period of time.

Axar.az reports that the vice-speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ruben Rubinyan, said these words during his speech at the 10th BRICS Parliamentary Forum.

He noted that the 12-kilometer section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border has already been demarcated and the border services of both sides have been deployed in the relevant parts of the border:

"Armenia has no ambitions beyond its internationally recognized territory and is ready to do constructive and intensive work in the direction of continuing the border demarcation process, concluding and signing a peace agreement in a short period of time."

He emphasized that Armenia is also interested in opening the block of regional infrastructures and becoming a part of international transit routes.
