Mujtaba Rahimi, an Azerbaijani journalist, was detained

Mujtaba Rahimi, an Azerbaijani journalist and social media activist living in the city of Qazvin, was sentenced to a fine.

Axar.az reports that he shared about this on his social media account.

"After the end of the presidential election, on July 13, I was sentenced to a fine of 6 million 600 million tumens (170 dollars at the official exchange rate) for the charge of "spreading false information and confusing public opinion," the journalist wrote.

It should be noted that 113 social media activists were arrested in connection with the presidential election in Iran, and most of them were released on bail after interrogation.
