Tokayev urges climate cooperation at summit

Our countries have great opportunities to expand mutually beneficial cooperation. Cooperation in the field of fighting the consequences of ecology and climate change is of great importance.

Axar.az reports that the President of Kazakhstan Gasim-Jomart Tokayev said these words during his speech at the meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan in Astana.

"We face similar challenges, so expanding interoperability, increasing coordination and sharing experiences on the climate agenda is of particular importance. Taking this opportunity, I wish success to the President of Azerbaijan, our esteemed friend Ilham Heydar oglu, in holding the COP29 global climate conference this fall," Tokayev said.
