Austin, Umerov discuss U.S. aid

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov held a phone conversation. The military leaders discussed the priority areas of U.S. assistance to Ukraine and the current operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Axar.az reports that the Pentagon issued an official statement on this matter.

After the call, Lloyd Austin posted on X (formerly Twitter):

“The U.S. remains committed to helping Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression.”

Rustem Umerov also posted on X, calling the discussion with his American counterpart productive. He thanked Washington for its continued and comprehensive support since the start of Russia's large-scale invasion.
