Leaders of CIS countries have been invited to the BRICS summit to be held in Kazan.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president.

“In addition to the nine member countries, leaders of CIS countries have also been invited. This is natural. Invitations have also been sent to heads of states leading influential regional integration organizations in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Naturally, many leaders of countries that have applied for membership in the organization or for cooperation with BRICS in one form or another have also been invited,” Ushakov said.

It should be noted that the next BRICS summit will take place in Kazan from October 22-24.
