Russia's mediation role in negotiations was constructive

Russia's mediation role in negotiations with Azerbaijan was constructive.

Axar.az reports that Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said this in his speech at the international forum "Yerevan Dialogue".

"Russia was able to successfully mediate and sign a peace agreement after the war in 2020. Russia initiated the mediation process that brought Armenia and Azerbaijan to the negotiation table. This role was continued by the USA, EU and other countries - France and Germany. And the last meeting with my Azerbaijani colleague took place in Kazakhstan," said Mirzoyan.

He thanked all the countries that tried to bring the positions of Armenia and Azerbaijan closer.

"Nevertheless, Yerevan understands that all countries have their own interests. These interests should not always coincide with the interests of Armenia or Azerbaijan, this is a theoretical, axiomatic truth."
