Today, under the leadership of the Chairman of the Economic Council, Prime Minister Ali Asadov, at the next meeting of the institution, drafts of the state budgets for 2025 and the next 3 years were discussed.

Axar.az reports that the Cabinet of Ministers released information about this.

In addition, according to information, the meeting discussed the development trends of the world economy, the main assumptions used in budget forecasts, the current economic situation and updated macroeconomic forecasts for 2024-2028, target indicators for the parameters of the budget rule, the main budget policy in 2025-2028. directions, the financing of expenses related to the reconstruction and restoration of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur and the provision of the Great Return Program, the areas where the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and the result-based budget mechanism are applied, the current situation and policy directions in the field of macroeconomic and financial stability and other current issues were discussed in detail.

The reports of Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Taleh Kazimov and Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev were heard.

At the end of the meeting, taking into account the opinions and suggestions of the members of the Economic Council, relevant tasks were given to the relevant institutions to submit all the documents and information included in the 2025 budget envelope to the President of the country.
