Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal benefits region

The signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will also benefit other countries in the region.

Axar.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this.

"I am confident that the beneficiaries of peace will not only be Armenia and Azerbaijan but also Georgia, Turkiye, and Iran, who will equally benefit," he emphasized.

According to the Prime Minister, there is indeed a historic opportunity to close the chapter on conflict in the South Caucasus and establish lasting peace in the region.

Pashinyan noted that Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed on about 80% of the peace agreement:

"We proposed that Azerbaijan sign the agreed-upon provisions of the document, establish diplomatic relations, and continue discussions in the near future."
