MM Chairman meets with Tajikistan President

Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova, who participated in the International Parliamentary Conference organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, and heads of parliamentary delegations of other countries met with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Imamali Rahman.

Axar.az reports that the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis has released information about this. Welcoming the guests, the President of Tajikistan expressed his views on the importance of this international conference. He spoke about the role of the adoption of the Constitution in the development of Tajikistan, including strengthening the traditions of parliamentarism in the country. He assessed the adoption of the Constitution as one of the first and continuous steps towards strengthening political reforms and state independence in the country.

Imamali Rahman also expressed his views on important aspects of cooperation between countries, including humanitarian relations based on cultural and historical similarities, and emphasized that the legislative bodies of our countries can make significant contributions to the constructive development of this process.

During the conversation, attention was also paid to the cooperation of parliaments within the framework of international and regional inter-parliamentary structures.
