Georgia to recount ballots in parliamentary elections

Georgia's Central Election Commission (CEC) has decided to recount the ballots of five polling stations in each electoral district to verify its data related to the parliamentary elections.

Axar.az reports that the commission announced this information.

It was noted that the district commissions have already determined the polling stations to be recounted through a lottery. The recount of votes in the regions will begin at 12:00, while in Tbilisi it will start at 17:00.

It is important to mention that in the parliamentary elections held on October 26, after counting 99.97% of the votes, the ruling Georgian Dream Party won with 53.93% of the votes.
