Berlin: Germans should leave Iran

Germany has issued a longstanding travel warning for Iran, urging its nationals to leave the country due to concerns that Tehran may take German citizens hostage, as demonstrated by the case of a German-Iranian national who was executed.

Axar.az reports that , citing Reuters, a spokesperson for the German Foreign Ministry stated during a government news conference on Friday, "We have long had a travel warning for Iran and a request for Germans in Iran to exit the country because we observed from the Jamshid Sharmahd case that Iran is taking German citizens hostage."
