On November 1, 2024, at the border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mger Grigoryan, the State Commission for Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia was held between the tenth meeting of the Commission on State Border Delimitation and Border Security.

Axar.az informs that in accordance with Article 7 of the Regulation signed on August 30, 2024 on the joint activity of the above-mentioned commissions, during the meeting, the Parties notified about the implementation by their states of the internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of that Regulation. they exchanged.

Taking into account that Article 7 of the Regulation establishes its entry into force on the day of receipt of the last written notification of the implementation of such procedures, the Parties emphasized that the said Regulation enters into force on November 1, 2024.

The parties exchanged views on the issue of the sequence of areas/parts of the border line for the implementation of delimitation works at the next stage.

The parties discussed the drafts of relevant instructions on the procedure for delimitation works.

The parties agreed to determine the date and place of the next meeting in working order.

After the meeting of the commissions, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mger Grigoryan separately discussed the issues of transport communications.
