Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, during her speech at the European Parliament, called on Europe and the EU to act as soon as possible to help solve the crisis in Georgia.

Axar.az informs that the Georgian media reported on this.

"This is a crucial time for Georgia. We feel like we are in 1921," Zourabichvili said.

The president said that we are heading towards a civil conflict.

"But it is not the nation that is divided... On one side is the people of Georgia, and on the other side is the repression apparatus of the authorities."

According to Zourabichvili, the ruling party of Georgia has been following Russia's path since at least 2019, and the manifestation of this was "Gavrilov's night".

He announced the usurpation of power and claimed that "the elections were falsified in a particularly complex way."

The President called on the EU to use all available levers to achieve new elections that could be a way out of the political crisis in Georgia.
