Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune sent a letter of condolence to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev regarding the victims of the AZAL plane crash near Aktau, Kazakhstan.

Axar.az informs that the President of Algeria's press service reported this.

"I received the news of the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, and the resulting deaths and injuries.

"On behalf of the people and government of Algeria, and my behalf, I express my sincere condolences to your Excellency and the families of the victims, express my deep sorrow, and wish the injured a speedy recovery," Tebboune said.

Telling the President of Azerbaijan that "Algeria stands in solidarity with his country at this difficult moment", Tebboune expressed that "he is confident that the people of Azerbaijan will be able to overcome this painful ordeal".
