Erdogan vows support for a new era of stability in Syria

"We will provide all necessary support for a new era that opens the doors to permanent peace, tranquility, stability, and economic prosperity in Syria."

Axar.az reports that this statement was made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in his New Year address to the nation.

"I believe that as stability takes root in Syria, it will become easier for Syrian refugees, who have endured 13 years of longing for their homeland, to return voluntarily. I extend my gratitude to all my fellow citizens who have demonstrated the finest examples of hospitality during this period," the Turkish leader added.
