A delegation from Iran will soon visit Turkiye to discuss negotiations regarding the Zangezur Corridor.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei during today's press conference.

The diplomat noted that the Zangezur Corridor is not a political issue but rather a technical matter with a very specific historical background between the two countries.

'Iran's position is consistent. While we welcome the expansion of cooperation in the field of transportation, we emphasize the need to respect the sovereign rights of countries.'

Baghaei added that a delegation from Iran will soon visit Turkiye for discussions on the Zangezur Corridor:

'It is likely that a delegation, including representatives from relevant institutions, will visit Turkiye in the near future to closely discuss the matter. We hope the issue will be resolved soon.'
