The presence of external and non-regional forces increases the complexity of political and security issues in the region and will not contribute to their resolution.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, during his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan.

Ahmadian emphasized that establishing peace and stability is only possible through the assistance and cooperation of the region's countries.

During the meeting, the importance of enhancing the level of comprehensive political, economic, and defense relations between the two countries was also highlighted. The parties discussed further expanding cooperation in new areas, such as oil refining and the petrochemical industry.

It should be noted that Ahmadian met with Pashinyan yesterday.
