Ilham Aliyev met Scholz in Davos

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz on January 21 in Davos based on the other party's request.

Axar.az reports that the Chancellor of Germany was interested in the progress of investigations related to the plane crash.

During the meeting, the previous meetings and discussions between the President of Azerbaijan and Olaf Scholz were recalled with satisfaction.

During the conversation, views were exchanged on bilateral relations, at the same time, the prospects of developing Azerbaijan's cooperation with the European Union, and issues of mutual interest were discussed.

The Chancellor stated that Germany supports efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.
